Befana Drama Story Writing Competition

Gianna Della Luna Publishing is delighted to announce its inaugural children’s writing competition, which has the ‘Befana Drama Creative Writing Trophy 2014’ up for grabs, along with an iPad mini for the winner and £30 of book tokens for their school, if entering through school rather than privately. Two runners-up will also win prizes.

To enter the contest, which is for children aged 8-11, entrants must write a story on the theme of either ‘A Bad Day in Befland’ or ‘A Brilliant Day in Befland’. Entries need to be handwritten by the entrant and between 300 and 600 words long, with word count noted.

Befland features in Befana Drama 2: Capriccia’s Conundrum and is the new theme park opened by chief protagonist ‘Bef’. Entrants should reference details of Befland within their entry and may include other details from Befana Drama 1 & 2, if they wish. The story can be exciting, have twists and turns, touching episodes or humour, just like the books and can feature battles between VIPBs (Very Important Present Bringers), if desired.

Entries need to include the entrant’s name, address, age and contact details (including email address and telephone number) and the name of the school if entering through a school. Entries should be sent to:
